His wife, Michele Lacroix, decided to take the light-hearted moment a step further — by showing replays of the miss to their children at home. In a playful jab, Michele made sure the kids saw that even their world-class dad isn’t perfect every time. The clip of her teasing has since gone viral on social media, earning laughter and praise from fans.

Despite the miss, Kevin De Bruyne’s legacy at Manchester City remains untouchable. Since joining the club in 2015, the Belgian has made over 360 appearances, scored more than 90 goals, and provided over 120 assists — making him one of the most productive midfielders in Premier League history.
This season alone, even after missing several months due to injury, De Bruyne returned to action with immediate impact. In just 15 league appearances, he registered 10 assists and 2 goals, showing that his vision and passing ability were still top-class.
