Maresca arrived at Stamford Bridge last summer, taking over from Mauricio Pochettino after leading Leicester City to the Championship title. Colwill also acknowledged how fortunate he feels to be under Maresca’s guidance:
“Of course, I have been blessed with loads of different managers that have been amazing. He is pushing me to understand football in a different way. That’s why I’m very blessed to play football under him and learn as much as possible.”
At just 22 years old, Colwill is still growing as a player, and Maresca’s tactical approach seems to be shaping his development. However, Chelsea now faces a crucial end to the season, with pressure mounting on the 45-year-old manager.
The Blues are still fighting for Champions League qualification, and there is also an expectation for them to win the UEFA Conference League, where they are seen as the favorites.
