"Jason Wilcox Is Doing a Great Job"—Manchester United Boss Praises Technical Director’s Smart Work Behind the Scenes
Manchester United’s technical director Jason Wilcox is getting praise for the important role he’s playing behind the scenes at Old Trafford. People inside the club say he is doing a great job, especially when it comes to small football details and helping connect the coaching team with the club’s board.

Wilcox joined United earlier this year and has already taken on more responsibilities after the club let go of Dan Ashworth. Even though United had a poor season on the pitch, the people in charge are hoping Wilcox will help improve things as they rebuild the team.

A report from The Athletic said that Wilcox is very focused on the technical side of the game. He regularly watches manager Ruben Amorim’s training sessions to better understand the team and give advice. This helps make sure the board knows what the coaches are doing and what they need.

People at the club say Wilcox pays great attention to detail and talks with Amorim almost every day. Even though he doesn’t have many years of experience in this role, he is respected because of his past work with young players at Manchester City’s academy.

After United’s last game of the season, Amorim praised Wilcox, especially for the signing of young midfielder Ayden Heaven.

Heaven joined from Arsenal last year for just £1 million. Even though he has had some injury problems, he has played very well when given the chance.

“Once again, Jason Wilcox is doing a great job,” Amorim told the club’s reporters. “Bringing Ayden… it is these kind of players that we need because he shows a lot of character and quality after a big injury. We want this kind of player.”

After finishing with their worst-ever Premier League season, United know they must improve next season. Amorim and Wilcox will be working closely together during the summer to bring in new players.

If Wilcox can find more smart and affordable talents like Ayden Heaven, fans will have more hope going into the new season.

With Wilcox’s help and Amorim’s plans, Manchester United could finally be heading in the right direction again.
