Insider Reveals Bruno Fernandes ‘Seriously Considering’ £100m Saudi Move as Al-Hilal Launch Stunning Transfer Bid

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes is reportedly weighing up a sensational move to Saudi Arabia this summer, with Al-Hilal keen on landing the Portuguese star in a big-money deal.

According to The Athletic, Al-Hilal have already opened talks to bring Fernandes to the Saudi Pro League and are prepared to pay a staggering £100 million to make it happen. The club, which recently parted ways with Neymar, is looking for a new marquee signing — and they believe Fernandes could be the perfect fit.

The 30-year-old midfielder is said to be giving the offer serious thought, especially given the massive wages on the table and the chance to take on a new challenge outside Europe.

If Fernandes accepts the offer, today’s friendly against Hong Kong could end up being his final appearance in a Manchester United shirt. The game is part of United’s end-of-season tour in Asia.

United are expected to undergo a major squad rebuild this summer under incoming manager Ruben Amorim. And shockingly, Fernandes isn’t the only big name on the chopping block.

Young stars Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho are also reportedly being considered for sale. The decision to potentially cash in on key players comes after the club failed to secure Champions League football, following their 1-0 defeat to Tottenham in last week’s Europa League final.

Had they lifted the trophy, United might have been in a stronger financial position to keep their top talents.

Fernandes himself has admitted that he doesn’t fully control what happens next in his career. Speaking after the Europa League final loss, he opened up about the uncertainty surrounding his future.

“I’ve always been honest,” he said. “I’ve always said I will be here until the club says to me that it’s time to go.

“I’m eager to do more, to be able to bring the club the great days. On the day the club thinks that I’m too much or it’s time to part ways, football is like this — you never know.

“If the club thinks it’s time to part ways because they want to do some cashing in or whatever, it is what it is.”

Fernandes joined United from Sporting Lisbon in January 2020 and quickly became a fan favourite with his goals, assists, and passion. But with United set for big changes this summer, even their captain might not be safe.
