The estimated cost of buying out the last month of his contract is around £800,000 to £1 million. However, Liverpool could demand more, considering Madrid offered £20 million for him in January but were turned down.

Liverpool has no obligation to release him early, so they could use this as leverage to ask for a higher payout from Madrid.
