Chelsea Faces Tough Decision on Joao Felix’s Future as Finding a Buyer Proves Difficult

Top Insider Reveals the Key Condition Joao Felix Must Meet to Be Reintegrated Into Chelsea’s Squad This Summer
Chelsea might have to bring Joao Felix back into the squad next season, as reports suggest they could struggle to find a club willing to buy him permanently.

The 25-year-old forward joined Chelsea last summer from Atletico Madrid in a deal worth £45 million, signing a seven-year contract. However, his time at Stamford Bridge hasn’t gone as planned. Felix found himself playing second fiddle to Cole Palmer, starting just three Premier League games before pushing for a move away in January.

Hoping for more game time, Felix joined AC Milan on loan in January. He made an immediate impact by scoring on his debut and even expressed his desire to stay in Italy beyond this season. However, things haven’t gone smoothly since then. The Portuguese forward has struggled to keep his place in the starting lineup, and his performances have been heavily criticized by the Italian media.

Due to his inconsistency, reports now suggest that Milan is unlikely to sign him permanently. This has left Felix in a tough spot, as Chelsea may not have many options when it comes to selling him.

According to journalist Nizaar Kinsella, Chelsea might be forced to reintegrate Felix into the squad because there are not many potential buyers. Speaking to BBC Sport, Kinsella stated:

“There is also Joao Felix, who is unlikely to join AC Milan permanently but may struggle to find a buyer. He could be reintegrated on that basis.”

Felix’s situation is becoming a headache for Chelsea, as it seems new manager Enzo Maresca is not keen on having him in his plans. Despite this, Felix is expected to return to Chelsea in time for the Club World Cup, where he might have a role to play. However, it remains unlikely that he has a long-term future at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea’s asking price for Felix is currently unclear, but with a lack of serious interest, the club might have no choice but to send him out on loan again. A temporary move could be the best option to help him regain form and attract new suitors.

As things stand, Felix’s future remains uncertain, and Chelsea may have to find a creative solution to offload him in the upcoming transfer window.
