🚨 Emiliano Martinez Set for Sensational Move to Manchester United as Summer Exit Looms from Aston Villa!
Manchester United could be set for a major goalkeeper shake-up this summer as Emiliano Martinez has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford.

The 32-year-old Aston Villa shot-stopper, who helped Argentina lift the World Cup in 2022, is now being tipped by those close to him for a transfer to one of Europe’s biggest clubs — and Manchester United are in the mix.

Martinez has been a standout performer for Villa since signing from Arsenal back in 2020. He’s played a crucial role in their rise up the Premier League table and even helped them secure European football. But after an emotional goodbye at Villa Park following their final home game of the season, rumours have exploded about his future.

Clubs in Saudi Arabia have reportedly made big-money offers, and there’s even talk of Arsenal wanting him back. But according to his former Villa goalkeeping coach Neil Cutler, a move to Manchester United might be the perfect next step.

Speaking to The Sun, Cutler explained:

“This summer is pivotal for Emi in terms of his career. He’s been voted the best goalie in the world twice, and there seems to be an opportunity for him this summer with all of his options open.”

Cutler, who remains close to Martinez, believes it’s not about money for the Argentine:

“Big clubs are queuing up to speak to him… I don’t think he is ready to move to Saudi yet. If he does move, it would be to a much bigger club — one of the real giants like Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico… or even Manchester United.”

While Manchester United cannot offer Champions League football next season, Cutler believes Martinez could still be tempted.

“The size of the club and the size of the challenge might appeal to Emi. He has the confidence required to play for a massive club like United and would feel he could affect the club in a really positive way.”

Martinez has never hidden his ambition. He wants to compete at the highest level, and United may offer him the stage and challenge he craves, especially if Erik ten Hag is replaced by Ruben Amorim, who may want a fresh start in goal.

Unai Emery, meanwhile, tried to play down speculation after Villa’s final game, insisting Martinez was staying put.

“No way,” Emery said when asked directly if Martinez had played his last game for Villa. But with transfer season looming, nothing is guaranteed.

Whether it’s for trophies, a bigger spotlight, or a fresh challenge, the signs suggest Martinez may soon be on the move — and Old Trafford could be calling.
